<DIV>I vaguely recollect years ago reading about an experiment, where a subject
wears a set of "glasses" that are in fact prisms, which causes
the subject's field of vision to be inverted by 180 degrees, e.g.
everything is upside-down. After wearing the glasses during all
waking hours for about 2 days, moving about (cautiously), upon waking the 3rd
day, the subject's vision became inverted without the use of the
glasses. The effect lasted for some time before naturally reverting.
(my guess is, not without the loss of some appetite)</DIV>
