<HTML><FONT FACE=arial,helvetica><FONT  SIZE=2>I have a couple dedicated standalone analyzers I picked up for cheap (read $20 or less each) from scrappers. Pass through with BERT testing, floppy disk storage, etc.

<BR>What I could reallllly use though, is something to sniff not RS-232 levels, but the analog signals going over a modem connection. QPSK/QAM/etc/whatever not needed nececessarily, it doesn't have to do 56K. There's a certain information society record which is rumored to write a story in a terminal program if you can get your computer to talk to the modem tones on the record.
