[sdiy] stereo output jacks that also do mono?

Off the top of my head, look at the Roland TR-909.
Both channels are passively summed by 2K2 buildout resistors, unless the normal on the left is broken by inserting a jack.

I can't recal any synth that did NOT have that. It's always L/mono and R.
Normalizing jack switch from right channel adds signal to left channel's amp.

Hey everyone, happy synthy new year!
I was wondering if anyone knows of a synth or effect that has 1/4"
stereo outputs, but also outputs a proper summed MONO output if only one
of the output jacks is used?
I feel like there'd be a way to do it using normalizing jacks, but I
can't think of how to do it.
I did find a modwiggler thread that addressed the same thing, posting a
possible solution ( https://modwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=229754
) but I'm very interested in how this has been implemented in the past
in any product.
