[sdiy] VCAs in FPAAs paper in JAES

Yes Anadigm was four friends of mine based in Alsager. Bit of a shoestring operation that never had the investment to really do it well. They then founded EoSemi originally doing 32kHz crystal replacement oscillators but now doing TXCOs.

There was also a US based lot recently that had good investment, but also ended bottoms-up.

Renesas announced something similar years ago, but never launched it, as have various others.

It's hard to beat a decent ADC, FPGA or DSP + MCU and DAC :-)

I evaluated Anadigm FPAAs about 15 years ago. I was unimpressed. My opinion on the FPAA technology since then is that the applications are better served in the digital domain.

And I'll never read Aaron's paper. It's $33 behind the AES pay wall.

Whose FPAAs are you using ? Most companies introducing them seem to withdraw them before mass production or simply go bust.
