Also, I just wanted to mention that I have listened to some of the many
clips of the MFOS vocoder posted by the late, great Ray Wilson, and. I don't
find the speech to be very intelligible.  I would have to do better than
that to be satisfied with my efforts.  The JH one was pretty intelligible
(notwithstanding the thick German accent - he may have been speaking German
for part of it.?).

 

I'll also look at some of the classic vocoder schematics.  I"ve got the
Roland VP-330 to study - that one sounds pretty sweet.  I don't just want to
clone something, though - that's definitely not my style.
