Excellent! (for me, at least)
I recently paid for 10 years of AES membership in advance, locking in the $100 annual rate until who knows when. I hope they remember to remind me when my membership expires...
By the way, articles used to be $10 each, not $33, and the discount for members was $5 per article. Now it seems that they’re free for members.
Note that student memberships are $50/year. I’m sure there are at least a few student readers on this list.
While we’re talking about memberships, I highly recommend seeking out a local chapter of the AES. Here in Seattle, we have amazing people giving free talks almost every month that are better than college courses on audio technology. I suppose Seattle might have a larger local community than some cities, but it’s still worth checking out the AES web site to search for a local chapter in your area. I attended the Seattle meetings for free until I realized that it was silly not to join (besides, I got hooked on the articles and wanted to save money).
