Ben’s response mentioned that both articles have references to previous JAES articles, and with an AES membership you’ll have access to those as well.

Rather than download the entire Journal for those two periods - something that can be very education in itself because of the historical context - I searched the E-Library at AES.org and found several related articles that look very interesting. You can either download individual articles if you want to be focused, or entire Journals if you want to see a wide range of the state of the art in 1974 or 1975.

Thank you for bringing these interesting topics to our attention. The AES have been expanding their library, extending it back in time by scanning older and older articles and journals. It’s an amazing resource.
