I agree !

In the very beginning, Ian took the all the time I needed to understand (as best I could at the time ) Many areas of electronics which I asked about over on the electro-music forum 

And then whenever I had purchased pcbs directly from him he always helped me debug them 

when a few months later my electronotes arrived I was thrilled to see what an important contributor he had been to EN

his comments and ideas are always full of insight
