[sdiy] History of SDIY?

Okay a bit more comprehensive list. Would be nice to group chronologically
but sorting alphabetical is easier.

If anyone wants to sketch some of these (in the third person), that would be
most appreciated. If necessary you can email me off list. I'll post them to
the SDIY wiki, crediting the author.

Including some whose relevance to "synth DIY" is only peripheral, others
because their answers seem respected on forums etc. I'm certain to have left
still others out - the wiki lacks bios for:
Aaron Lanterman
Andrew F (NLC)
Barry Klein (Electronic Music Circuits)
Bernie Hutchins (Electronotes)
Bob Pease
Brice Ward
Chris Huggett
Craig Anderton (PAiA & Electronic Projects For Musicians)
Dave Jones
David Ingebretson
Don Lancaster
Forrest Mims
Fred Judd
Graham Hinton
Grant Richter
Hal Chamberlin
Harold Rhodes
Harry Mendell
Hugh Le Caine
Ian Fritz
Ikutaro Kakehashi
John Blacet (Blacet Research)
Jürgen Haible
Larry Hendry (aka stooge Larry, RIP) & Dave Bradley (aka the other stooge)
Les Paul
Limor Fried (Adafruit)
Marc Bareille (Papareil Synth Labs)
Marvin Jones (editor of Polyphony)
Neil Steiner
Nicolas Collins (Handmade Electronic Music: The Art of Hardware Hacking
Paperback)
Old Crow
Olivier Gillet (Mutable Instruments)
Philip Dodds
Ray Marston
Rob Hordijk
Roger Linn
Scott Bernardi (OGEE)
Scott Juskiw (Tellun, e.g. Neural Agonizer)
Scott Stites
Steve Ciarcia
Terry Shultz
Thorsten Klose (MIDIbox: SEQ, SID, FM, etc.)

They're the New Wave Upstarts, surely? :-D

Have we had Tom Gambles yet? He's maybe a little more oldschool than
them.
