I'm not sure what you mean there? In any case, you'd significantly alter
the intended modulator waveform, which then turns into an alteration of the
sideband structure. I'm not sure what it would sound like… you are adding
high-frequency components to the modulator in any case.
If all modulators are harmonically related and have fixed phases, then the
modulator waveform can be precomputed. In fact, using a triangle wave
instead of a sine already does that.
