I don't know how much the schmartboard type is, but maybe simpler versions that are only for the 100pin TQFP are cheaper:

Yeah, the part I want to put on it says it's 0.5mm pitch, so I guess I am good to go on
ordering the board.
The how-to vid makes it look pretty easy to use.
