After I asked for some SSM2166 samples at Analog devices
they emailed me to leave them a feedback at their web site
about this chip..

Here what I wrote them:

This is a great product unparalleled so far..
Like the SSM 2164 that has a 'Last Time buy' status...
Too sad that such a great product that is so popular
in the design & development area will be extinguished
soon.. Very sad.
My feedback is
PLEASE KEEP THE SSM FAMILY PRODUCTS AVAILABLE
FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT DON'T FIND ANY SUBSTITUTE
IN THE MARKET FOR THEM. THESE PRODUCTS DELIVER !!!!
AT LEAST KEEP THE SSM2164 AVAILABLE...

For anybody who would like to leave their appreciations and
commentaries on the SSM family chips and the
sadness of 'last time buy' on the SSM2164 feel free.
