James,

If you have a pot to control volumn at the input that should be fine. You
can turn that all the way down and get close to ground. If not I'd ground
it.

Some people wouldn't spend the extra money but for an audio mixer I'd use
better op-amps (lower noise) than the TL072.

Another question I should have put in my first email.  If I am using a
switch to remove a particular input from the mix, route it somewhere else
etc, what is the proper way to handle the open ended wire when the switch
is "off"?  Just leave it open?  Connect it to ground?  Thanks again!
